Awesome Graduation Party Ideas Using Items From the Dollar Store

Easy
For my daughter's graduation party, I hit the Dollar Store for inexpensive but great party ideas. Here are just a few.
Rolos graduation caps
I saw these cute little graduation caps on Pinterest. So, I found a large bag of (affiliate link) Rolos candy at the Dollar Store and made them. They are really easy to make. We bought a piece of black poster board and cut it up for the mortar boards. We hot glued the poster board to the tops of the Rolos, hot glued a piece of curling ribbon for the tassel (also bought from the Dollar Tree), and glued rolled up pieces of the Rolo wrappers for the ball on top.
I liked that we could make these several days ahead of the party. You can see more of my graduation food ideas in my post: 10 easy graduation party food ideas
Candy letter
I have seen so many clever cards that used candy substituted for some of the words. Since the Dollar Store has a big variety of candy bars we used them to fill out our letter of congratulations, and even bought the poster board and double-stick tape (that we used to attach the candy) there, too.
My daughter liked it! ;) And everyone else at her party did, too!
Swiss Cake Roll diplomas
My Dollar Tree had boxes of Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls, so we scooped up several. The trick was to REFRIGERATE them for several hours, so they were very cold. It made it much easier to remove the wrappers without the chocolate sticking to them. Then we simply tied some of the curling ribbon we bought at the Dollar Tree on each roll to make perfect little diplomas!
Pirouette cookie diplomas
We kept to the diploma theme with Pirouette cookies (also bought at the Dollar Tree) and tied with a different design curling ribbon (also, you guessed it, bought at the Dollar Tree). For all of the signs, I used folded pieces of construction paper and wrote on them with chalk.
Okay, this one wasn't from the Dollar Tree, but I did want to add one last graduation idea. We got 25 dollar bills from the bank and a few quarters and arranged them in a pizza box. We fanned out the bills in a shape of a pizza and stuck them down with double-stick tape (Oh, we got the tape at the Dollar Tree, does that count? ;) Then we stuck on quarter "pepperonis," and added a sign. That way she'd have some laundry or vending machine money.
