Repurposed Coffee Table Top

A few years ago, I gave this hand made coffee table a paint job and it was so cute! But I didn't need a big round coffee table with a clock face, and apparently nobody else did either since my attempts to sell it failed. Let's take a look at it's little life over the last few years:

I painted the whole top white. And then armed with a measuring tape and google, (No, I can't recall the roman numerals from memory!) I stenciled the numbers on with large stencils I picked up at Wal Mart.
Since I didn't need a big round coffee table, I tried to sell it. But nobody else seemed to want it either, so I cut the legs off of it and hung it on the wall.
But it was so BLAH. BORING. Until I got a medallion stencil in the mail from Cutting Edge Stencils. I used a foam roller with a TINY bit of black paint on it and centered the big design right in the middle.
It literally took a minute to paint the design on with a foam roller. I love it's new look! Some day if it's a good "faux clock" and listens to Jiminy Cricket, it might turn into a REAL clock. It totally needs some hands...

Okay, so now I'm in a dilemma... I have a 4 top round solid oak table that I built oh, let's say 35 years ago (egad!). And I inherited a 4-6 top round solid wood table that also has 2 leaves. And I have a 4 top round glass outdoor table. I've been wanting to do something with the solid wood table (which is in my living/dining) and this would be great with my decor until I use the leaves...hmmm, don't use leaves that often-that's what tablecloths are for... Thank you so much for helping me make my decision!!!

go to a jewelry store mom and pop type they know a low about clocks also train stations auctions maybe the hands can be made or molded form that polymer clay and painted black and then with green to show aging google is your friend ;)

Love It!!! I've been looking for a larger sized wall clock. This looks awesome! Think I'll try using a precut, sanded circle from Home Depot or Lowe's, I've used them before for......tabletops. lol! Hole saw and Done! Great idea!
