I found this wooden box at a local shop, it is a vintage Japanese Boys Toolbox. I wanted to change it into something useful and charming.
French Storage Box
I removed all hardware and cleaned the piece with alcohol.
As purchased.
Painted the piece in Delicate Violet Wing homemade chalk paint.
Painted & image
A laser cut frame was glued around image.
The Box was distressed and dark wax was applied.
The new pull.
Paris was hand painted at bottom.
Finished.
