Picture Perfect TV - How to Make a Flat Screen TV Frame With Trim

I love how flat screen TVs are not as much of a footprint as the large tube TV of the past. However, I still find the big black rectangle on the wall is a major focal point in the room. So when my husband persuaded me to get one for our bedroom, I only agreed if he promised to make a frame for it. I didn't want to walk into the room and that be the one thing that you see. So I agreed to get a TV and my husband agreed to make me a Flat Screen TV Frame.
The framing and hiding wires was not too difficult and did not cost a lot of money. It did take time but that is the same with many DIY projects.
I love the results and am hoping we can do our other TV in our family room some day soon. Perhaps with wood trim that I will stain.

LOVE this idea! Wish I could figure out how to adapt it to mine which swivels and angles…

Sometimes it’s left in a position for a few days and just looks like a big, black, floating rectangle!! Any ideas?

I would love if there were an easy way to utilize that big black screen as a digital photo frame, like I used to have on my desk at work. Rolling family photos! Or even floral shots, etc.
