This is a super easy / quick fall decor idea that looks great on your front porch or in your garden.
I used fresh natural moss to make mine but I'm sure dried/artificial moss would work too.
All as you need to make this project is some newspaper, some moss, thin rope, florists wire and some florists pins.
First make your pumpkin shape by screwing up some newspaper and build it up by adding sheets of newspaper layer by layer. Flatten the ball as you go to create the pumpkin shape.
Then add a sheet of moss and secure using the florists wire.
Flip your pumpkin and add another layer of moss on the bottom. Again wrap with florists wire and secure any loose flaps with your florist pins.
Now use your rope to define the sections of the pumpkin. It's like wrapping a parcel but you wrap the rope around 3 times instead of 2 which will give you 6 sections. Tie the rope off at the top and knot a few times to make the pumpkin stalk.
Then your pumpkin is ready to use in your display. If you would like to see extra pics and more detailed instructions pop over to http://ahappyhomeinholland.com
