Easy, 1-hour Window Valance

Got an hour? In this quick tutorial, I'll show you how to create a unique kitchen valance for pennies on the dollar. Click on the url for full deets.
One hour and done.
One yard of fabric should work for most kitchen windows. You'll want to make sure you have enough for the side hems and the hem that the curtain rod will go through at the top.
I used a place mat and traced a half-circle shape on the fabric.
Here's the cutout valance before I hemmed it.
Hemming the rounded edges is the trickiest part. But if I can do it, anyone can.
Here's the finished product.
