Salvaged Lattice Panels Turned #FixerUpper Wall Decor!
I'm a house-flipper....but really, I'm a house-preservationist. I love buying old, ugly, and neglected houses and giving them a new life without totally gutting them. I restore and refurbish as much as I can...and all on a DIY beer budget!
I hope you'll follow me on my journey of my 3rd house flip at my blog, The Bachelorette Pad Flip: https://bachelorettepadflip.com/
I scored several salvaged lattice panels from a local junk shop. Even though they were originally used outside, I had interior plans for these panels!
Using a sanding and sweeping method, I gave each panel a good cleaning.
Then came the Fixer Upper part! I applied a white wash to each panel. Not sure how to create a white wash? I have a full "recipe" on my blog! And by full recipe...I mean water and paint- SO EASY!
Once the white wash was applied, I sanded and distressed the panels....to create the perfect distressed Joanna Gaines approved decor!
My last step included using a few screws and hanging the panels on the wall to frame my TV. I'm not totally done-- to see my other plans for this little space (including some fun wreaths for each panel!), check out my blog!

Have a question about this project?
the before picture shows missing slates....the after picture is very different...how did you fix the areas where the wood was missing?
Is that a rounded wall the tv is on ? If so it would be great to figure out a way to showcase that unusual feature! I like the lattice too.
