How I did a two color wooden tall flower stand.
The plant is now safe, at this height
I took two thick panels aprox. 9 x 9 inches and four pieces of beech wood, 1.5 x 1.5 and 31.5 inches long for the legs. I cut the panels to fit the legs in the corners.
I sanded everything smooth and predrilled the holes to fit the screws easily in the end. The panels were stained using white water based stain and the legs using brown stain.
I applied two layers of matte varnish on all the pieces, before assembly. This seals the wood entirely and gives the stand much more resistance.
i screwed all the pieces together using 2.75 inches black screws, cleaned everything with a cloth and the stand was ready.
Suggested materials:
  • Beech wood panel, 1.5 inches thick
  • Beech wood pieces, 31.5 inches long, 1.5 x 1.5 inches
  • White and brown stain
