Amazing Contemporary Art Created Using Leftover House Paint

These colorful abstract paintings are created using leftover house paint that I rescue from recycling centers. I have developed some interesting techniques for working with the paint including pouring, pulling, pressing and dripping it onto canvas. While the paint is wet, I often use tools, washes of water, or my fingers to create imagery. The paint dries slowly, and in the process of drying, serendipitous things sometimes occur, such as bubbles that pop to reveal another color below. My eco-friendly paintings create a unique focal point for contemporary interiors, and the green materials complement sustainable design. You can see a video on the home page of my website where I show how this particular painting process is done: http://tondro.com

Love "Azure"! Would you think kids could do a project with recycled paint? Would be messy but I know they would LOVE it!

Hi Colleen! Yes, I have done it with children. I cover a table with plastic, and have them pour the paint into oval-shaped paper plates. They press small 6" x 6" canvases into the paint, and it works great!

Do you dilute the paint and what with.
