Decorative Wine Bottles

I love recycling ordinary wine bottles and transforming them into beautiful home decor.

Start by cleaning the bottles of their labels & glue. I use Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda. I put 2 cups of washing soda in a container with 8 cups of hot water. Stir until dissolved. I pour this into a cooler & fill with more hot water until it covers the labels. Close the lid and wait about an hour. The labels will peel off easily. I then use GooGone for any residual glue left behind. Wipe bottles dry after they are completely clean.
Next choose a color of spray paint and your other decorations: twine and flowers. Spray the bottle evenly. Allow paint to dry & then twine the bottle. I use contact glue because it works better than a glue gun. When twining the bottle, use one hand to hold tension on the twine & use the other to spin the bottle. Then use a hot glue gun to apply flowers any other decorations.
Sit back and enjoy your beautiful, decorative bottles.
