Faux Stained Glass (with Mandala Design)

Use dollar store frames and coloring book pages to make beautiful stained glass Mandalas for your home
I used Americana Crystal Gloss Enamels which are perfect for a project like this. They are permanent and top rack dishwasher safe when used on glassware, too.

Can you please tell me what kind of frames you used where the top slid open and closed, and where you got them? I am doing some paintings directly on glass, and would like to use that type of frame, but can't find it. Thanks!

I think Michael's Craft Stores have the open-end frames, or maybe they can order them.

    Awesome project Mark!
Big question though, living in the high heat and humidity here in Florida, will this project be able to withstand to be in the Florida sun? Is this something that may require being baked in a low oven, after being finished before hanging in the hot sun?

I have a few of these hanging in my window here in FL and they are fine. Let the paint dry and you shouldn’t have a problem!

Can those be hung at a window? And how does the back side look like, looking from the outside? LP
