Discarded Dresser Turned DRESS FORM Beauty!

Art is beauty
by Art is beauty
Here is what I started with, a discarded dresser. It was in pretty good condition, considering, but the back leg was gone. Being the crafty thinker that I am, I went to my scrap pile and re-supported the back leg where the old backing had been and just used some wood filler to smooth out the surface and make it usable.
After some paint, a vinyl stencil I cut out, some wax and some buffing, this once discarded dresser is a BEAUTY. Come on over and see!

The finished Dress form dresser
getting the prep work done. You can see she is in overall good shape.
but the back leg was gone, so I created this back leg with some scrap wood. It supported the dresser and used wood filler on the outside to smooth the finish. Then sanded it smooth and she was ready for paint.
Knowing I was not going to reuse the old hardware I filled all the old holes with wood filler before painting.
I mixed up a custom deep Pinkish red. Then using my silhouette cut out this dress form stencil. I am not going to lie. Placing this stencil was a pain. lots of small vinyl pieces. I thought should have just free handed it on
but as you can see, all the work was worth it. I mixed up a black and silver acrylic craft paint to give the dress form a two toned effect. When dry I distressed it and waxed and buffed the whole piece
Since I was going with the dress form theme, I thought she needed some pretty buttons, So I went with these gorgeous Mercury glass knobs from Hobby Lobby.
I am in love with how it turned out. I hope you love it too!

@Mary Rossell I used my Silhouette program. I purchased the stencil from silhouette and then changed it for my own use.
