Turning sliding doors into barn doors

I have two closet sliding doors and they constantly get off the track. Can these doors be converted to barn doors with proper hardware?

Likely our closet sliders are luan/hollow core doors and will not be heavy enough to service without flopping back and forth. You would have to weight down their bottoms maybe with a plank of wood.

Usually there are adjustments on sliding doors to keep them on track. And yes, they can be converted to barn doors, but they will be short since they will need to be raised above the door opening. You can add extra wood to the bottom to take up the gap. Also, there is a guide that mounts on the floor to keep the doors stable as the roll.

I have the same problem but I cant use the barn door conversion because of lack of space. I am going to put up really nice drapes which can be custom made to fit.
