A young couple gets help from his Dad on the remodeling of their guest bathroom. They kept the almost new Kohler toilet, only improving it by "MG Equipping" it with our SR/1 "MG". The SR/1 installs inside the toilets water tank drawing any embarrassing toilet odors through the water outlet openings in the rim of the toilets bowl as they occur.
Inside the wall behind Kohler toilet
Here they have removed the drywall behind the existing Kohler toilet so they could perform some electric & plumbing changes they wanted to make to the vanity which is next to the toilet. This helped with the installation of the 1.5" vent pipe needed to connect the MG on the toilet to the inline fan unit in the attic.
Cutting the venting outlet in the watertank
Now after the had marked the proper location using the template provided with their SR/1 "MG" they drilled the venting outlet opening with the 50 mm diamond encrusted drill bit that comes with every SR/1 "MG" system.
Viola"! This toilet is now "MG Equipped"!
From this angle you can see the SR/1 "MG" installed and working on their existing Kohler toilet (toilet had just been replaced by the homes previous owner). See how the 1.5" ABS vent pipe goes through the 50 mm opening they drilled in the last photo connecting the pipe running up inside the wall to a S & P inline fan unit up the attic.
Not to worry, this toilet is "MG Equipped"!
Last but not least they placed the chrome "MG" lotus flower logo on the rim the toilets water tank, letting guests and family alike know they don't have to worry about embarrassing toilet odor here.
4" flex ducting from in-line fan
This shows you the 4" flex ducting leaving the S & P inline fan unit on its way out the roof. Ducting is taped then clamped at all connections. The duct support strapping is stabled to the trusses and wrapped around the ducting, suspending it off the floor of the attic. This makes it much easier to move around the attic. A very clean and easy install.
Big things from a pretty box
It all started here, with a SR/1 "MG" toilet odor venting system!
