A budget friendly bathroom makeover for just $3000! A cottage style bathroom update includes a Chalk Paint makeover vanity by Postbox Designs. www.postboxdesigns.com
The finished bathroom kept the existing vanity but gave it a makeover with Chalk Paint. A new quartz counter top called "Cirrus" gives the marble look with far less maintenance!
We saved money by keeping all of the fixtures in the same locations but a new Delta Victorian faucet in polished chrome and simple under mount sink was a much needed update! Want to see what the bathroom looked like before the makeover??
Here was the "Before"! This Southwestern style bathroom with loads of hand painted clay tiles was NOT our style. There was clay tile on the floor, counter top, around the mirror...there was even matching cabinet knobs, towel bars, and toilet paper holder!
Here is another shot of the "Before" of our bathroom! We took out all of the tile, but KEPT the existing vanity in order to save money. I also removed all of the existing wallpaper.
This is the Mood Board I created for the future bath-a neutral, sophisticated space that was a far cry from where we started! I create them for all of my clients so my own bath was no exception!
Another update was removing the existing hunter green light fixture and instead installing two polished nickel sconces flanking the new scallop metal mirror.
My favorite part of the entire makeover was changing out the existing clay tile floor to these Carrara marble hex tiles! This is the new flooring in the bathroom. Another vanity update was adding these $6 bun feet to give it more of a furniture look.
This is the same vanity we started with! I painted the whole thing in "Paris Grey" Annie Sloan Chalk Paint with a white wax, then distressed the entire thing. I also updated it with $4 polished nickel cabinet pulls.
My shiny new Delta Victorian faucet and Cirrus quartz tops. I created this gold vase using a dollar store vase and gold spray paint.
Another look at the new vanity.
One of my favorite features is this distressed, metal scallop mirror with the rope detail. The rustic piece is a nice juxtaposition to the polished look of the rest of the bathroom.
I added this $2 Etsy print over the toilet to help combat grumpy morning moods for my kiddos. This tassel Turkish towel is one of their favorite parts of their new bathroom.
The walls are painted Benjamin Moore's "Balboa Mist" for a soft, subtle background. The whole bathroom was designed to be neutral and traditional, but all very budget friendly, use to clean, and with low maintenance products!
