Bentwood Foot Stool Makeover

by Megan Aubrey
I found this $8 thrift store Bentwood foot stool that I fell in love with. The lines and shapes were beautiful but it needed some oomph! I took inspiration from Mandi at Vintage Revivals and based my project on her tutorial (link in blog). Check out the transformation!

The bent wood foot stool au naturale.
Dismantle it and tape around the caning to make sure you don't get paint on it.
Spray paint white.
Once white, the caning looked a little too plain.
I took rub 'n buff to the top (as seen on right).

Then, pick your favorite thread colors and wrap it around the stool.
The final result!
