Hi. I have a medical treatment clinic. I would like to up grade my consultation room to make it looks more high end medical spa. which wallpaper or colour ( for one side of wall only and which wall?) should I used to make it look more professional medical spa. Thank you

I agree! The Waves Paintable on the wall under the soffit. Also two tall, but narrow graphic type pictures, related to your business, on the wall behind the desk.

The room is way to small for dimensional 'movement'. Bizaro's 'wave' / sea colored room idea would be overwhelmingly tacky, only serving in a large comercial lobby space. The wall behind you should be simple grasscloth or a satin finish one color possibly with a hoizontal element (diplomas/professional certificates, small framed pictures, painting, mirror) above your head. The side wall maybe a sophisticated simple pattern paper base colored to match big wall color. Is this to be a professional consult room to gain the client's confidence (and contract) or an aquarium of delusionary distractions?

Yes. And match the walls with a satin finish two shade lighter paint finish. Now the reception desk can use your wave pattern. it is way too uninviting as is. Make it two shades darker than the grass cloth.

Keep the color put an ocean scene on one wall. Like wallpaper. Just cut out what you need from wallpaper. Add pieces from wallpaper to other wall. Other wall would be accents.

I agree with Lucy about keeping the color. Pale blue is a restful calming color. But none of the patterns I saw add anything to the overall concept if you want a relaxing confident ambiance. Why not try shading in a gradient fashion? Start with a darker (but still pale) blue at the bottom of the wall, then work in a lighter shade in each consecutive shading (so it overlaps somewhat), ending at the top in the palest blue. Do it only on one wall but I would do it on the small wall on the right, not the one directly behind the desk. I don't care much for the glass and chrome decor but that just personal preference. Too 'institutional' for me. Swapping it out may not be an option for you. But you could soften the effect with a pop of color - a spa flower (like a lavender or pale pink orchid (artificial or not) in a dark blue or white vase. I would try to hide some of the unsightly wires also and put carpeting on the floor (perhaps in a geometric muted blue - that would work with the glass and chrome, or if you switched to oak or oak-like furniture, a gray/blue ). Good luck, whatever you decide.

Peggywei, whatever else you do, get the electric cables under control. Cables hanging all over the place doesn't look very "high end".

The wall color is good, but a little too cool, warm the space up with wood, either by changing out the desk or ship lap for an accent wall.

I would like to suggest adding some warmth to the space by bringing in some wood. The contemporary furnishings need some softening. A few floating wood shelves behind your desk to display your credentials along with a piece of art should help. It also gives the client something to view while waiting for you. An alternative to the wave pattern panels there are many...options of professional peel and stick wall decals/murals that can add interest without making the room appear smaller. An electric floor model water fountain would also add some ambiance as long as it is quite enough that it doesn't disrupt your conversation with your clients. Would love to see your finished project! There are too many lines going in too many directions. Either change out the desk to something more solid or, change the chairs to straight legs. The area needs some warmth and someplace for the eye to rest, wood is a good option, and yes, get the cables under control.
