I never really liked a red door. Love the distressed cottage look though so check out my new door!
Painted the red door a light blue I had on hand. Filled in woodworked scroll (yuk) with wood spackle, sanded. Then used an espresso gel stain to darken over blue paint and distressed the whole door with sandpaper. Then I used a dried out old brush to add artistic streaks in the light blue and a white paint to add to the effect. Also did the railing on the porch to match and made a litle plaque. Love it!
