Save the Tom Toms - Freeze Warning!

Caley's Culinaries
by Caley's Culinaries
My mother says they did this every year in Michigan to extend the harvest past frost.

I rubber banded the tomato vines to a hanger and hung them in the coat closet.
Mom said they would pull the whole plant up and hang it, roots and all in the barn to finish developing.
I cut long vines instead of pulling them up. After three days, the tomatoes are turning pink! One fell and the tomatoes fell off.
They weren't as pretty two weeks later and one had fallen - twice. The tomatoes did turn red and were juicier than the ones I picked green without their vines.
