My mom's wish for me to create matching Kleenex and Trashbag holders turned out to be the perfect way for me to help my daughter dispense of a few of her many empty Baby Wipe and Boogie Wipe plastic containers!
It only took about 4 hours (including dry time but not curing days) to make these functional yet pretty bathroom accessories.
How many of these do YOU have? My daughter had many but did not want to clog the city dump with them.
First, peel the labels off and wash with warm soapy water. The baby wipes label does not come off.
After taking both outside and spray painting with Krylon Plastic Fusion paint I let cure for 5 days. Then rolled up the bags so they would pop out one at a time.
I made sure the Kleenex would fit and could easily be pulled out the top without tearing. I wrapped wired ribbon around the top and glued top edge then glued on $.50 dragonfly.
I bought this burlap sheet at Michael's. I put Mod Podge around the middle of the Boogie Wipes container then put the measured and cut burlap sheet on. Allowed to dry then glued 2 more dragonflies on.
These pop out one at a time for my mom's bathroom trash can and looks good doing it.
This keeps a rather large box of Kleenex dry - in case you splash it at sink - and remains pretty!

I can't open ur blog or read the rest of your sentences under your pics. Don't know why. But your pics look like you had to roll the bags up together before putting them in the container, ?? Great n cute idea.

How did you fold the bags so they would come out one at a time? Thank you for sharing this clever way to recycle!
