I love decorating our home for Christmas! Here in the Netherlands it is really popular to make and decorate your home with 'Kerststukken' during the Christmas period. Kerststukken are basically Christmas arrangements.

The Christmas arrangements usually consist of plants, flowers, greenery, moss, and other decorative items all arranged in a container.
Sometimes the arrangements have candles, sometimes not.
The container can be literally anything; glass vases, enamel buckets, wooden trays - basically anything you have lying around home.
I made 2 different arrangements last year using white hyacinths and moss in one and mini poinsettia plants and bits of Christmas tree greenery in the other.

The first one was made using a footed glass vase, a pot of 3 white hyacinths bulbs, some moss, some bells, wooden decorative stars and fake powdered snow.
I used an upturned glass inside the vase and added snow in the bottom and around the sides of the glass.
Then I took the hyacinths out of the pot and put them together with the soil on the upturned glass so that they sat on top of the vase.
I sprinkled more powdered snow so that you couldn't see the sides of the soil and roots, then filled in with moss.
As you can see by the photo you need to leave the bulbs exposed.
I added a final sprinkling of snow and topped the arrangement with decorative red and white stars and white bells.
I then cut a strip of red burlap material I had leftover from making my Christmas pom pom cushions (you can also find the tutorial for this here on Hometalk), wrapped it around the vase, secured with a glue dot and added a wooden star.

I repeated the same process for the second one but used a rectangular glass vase together with mini poinsettias and Christmas tree greenery.
You can use a soaked oasis for this if you wish but I didn't and the greenery lasted pretty well throughout the Christmas period.

It's as easy as that! You can really go to town on these and use your imagination to make some wonderful designs.

This year I will be making some new designs for the blog, one using a low tray and another using Amaryllis bulbs (keep an eye out for those projects over on the 'A Happy Home In Holland' blog).
