Painting Glass Plates for Décor & Entertaining

Have you ever tried to find accessories to match your décor and had a hard time finding just the right ones? I want to create a wall of plates in my kitchen area and am having a hard time finding plates in shades of purple to compliment my décor. So I decided to paint my own using a Martha Stewart adhesive silkscreen leaf pattern along with enamel paints in the perfect shades of purple.
Using simple techniques accessories such as glass plates can be transformed to suit your taste, creating exciting, fresh décor that bring ho-hum pieces to life.
Add the adhesive silkscreen pattern to the back of the plate, dabbing with paint. Quickly remove to reveal a lovely design . . .
Allow paint to dry between applications.
Can be sealed permanently by placing in 325 degree oven for 30 minutes - twice.
Surprisingly, I couldn't stop at painting the plate. I painted a large glass vessel with leaves in the same purple hues.
See how the painted colors compliment my décor especially the area rug.
