Same original white furniture in my other daughter's bedroom. Big difference is that her favorite color is pink. Instead of a 2-color theme for the furniture, I tried a stencil pattern.
I went to hobby lobby and found a medium pink that would show up but not look to bright against the hunter green walls

Sprayed pulls gold and added stencils
Theme of stencils and polka dots
Because the headboard was wide, i decided to add a favorite quote in gold.
She believed she could so she did
To finish the room, I found a large metal initial and painted it to match the room. 'Dotted' a picture frame and pillow, made wreath for door.
Bought bedspread, chair and pictures to complete
