I have a fun little craft for your fireplace for the fall/ Thanksgiving time of year. My “Give Thanks” burlap banner is easy to make and has a bit of glitter on it which adds some bling that you know I love! This is easy to store when it’s not in season and is just fun to look at! Details below!
The words are stenciled - it would be easy to customize with your family's saying or blessing.
You can add a little bling on the blank triangle. I added this cute flower from Hobby Lobby.

I used “Distressing Stain” but you could also use paint. I just wanted the words to look very fall-ish and natural on the burlap and so stain was easy to use and these containers make “blotting” the stain on a stencil super easy!
I laid the burlap banner triangles upside down and ran the jute across the back about an inch down.
Then folded the burlap banner over and hot glued it down. Hot glue fixes everything. When that dried I ran a bead of gold glitter glue down the edge of the triangles because I love the combo of the masculine burlap and stain with the feminine glitter!!
Voila! my festive and grateful banner hangs on my mantel! For more photos and a few extra tips, please visit my blog: my blog
