Reclaimed Wood Laundry Lint Basket Holder

Raise your hand if your hubby ALWAYS leaves things in his pockets. Mine does constantly, so when we were redoing our laundry room, I knew I needed a little basket where I could put all those little "sprinklets" as he calls them.
We had some left over base trim that we didn't need to put back up from our One Room Challenge Laundry Room Makeover so I began with that and sanded it down using my power sander.
After it was nicely sanded, I cut it down to size and gave it a fresh coat of stain to match the rest of the wood elements in the space. Then I applied some poly to the top to seal it up.
I purchased a hook and basket from Hobby Lobby to use and first we drilled the wood into the tile (which was much easier than I thought it would be) and then I screwed the hook into the wood and attached the basket!
It's the perfect place to put lint and all the other random trash I find in my hubby's pockets! It's easy to unhook and empty and put right back up on the wall!

I just LOVE how this looks in our newly renovated laundry room
