Hello friends! Can you believe it's mid November and the fast pace of the Holidays is quickly approaching!
Today I'm sharing something a little different here on Hometalk. I'm actually sharing a gift idea to inspire you to create beautiful handmade items for your friends, loved ones, work colleagues and even your kids teachers. Nothing says "I really care" more than the time, effort and passion someone puts into a gift. The thought and trouble you go to to create a handmade gift is far more valuable and touching than the gift itself.

I also want to say handmade does not mean cheap and nasty. You can make something so beautiful and stunning with a few supplies and some imagination!
If you have some jars around the place that you do not use, then grab them and use them to make some lovely handmade body products. You can search the internet for some great recipes. I have a few different homemade scrub recipes on my blog, like this Vanilla and Cinnamon scrub that I made especially for this SPA gift basket. Another favorite of mine is my Orange Body Scrub or if you love anything ROSE scented, then you will love my Rose Body Scrub! It even comes with FREE printable gift tags.
After making your products, get some cheap baskets, decorate them with pretty ribbon and/or lace and use tissue paper or raffia to fill the basket and place the items you are gifting on top.
This is the basket I used. It's from ikea but it's all I had in my house. You can check out Dollar Stores or thrift stores to buy some really cheap vintage baskets to use for the gifts!
Use some paint and decorate your jars. This always adds character. You can even get the kids involved if it's a teacher gift or a gift to grandma!

Allyson Seaton on Nov 21, 2016What a lovely idea! I am a firm believer in making homemade gifts, I would make it the rule if I could! Too much commercialism in Christmas nowadays! This is fantastic, Thankyou and have a very merry Christmas!
