Using My Grandmother's Dough Bowl in Fall Decor

Not only is my grandmother's dough bowl a wonderful piece of family history filled with warm memories, it has also become the centerpiece for my Thanksgiving and fall decor! I am sharing some ways I have decorated it for fall over the last few years here: http://confessionsofaplateaddict.blogspot.com/2013/11/thankful-at-homepottery-barn-inspired.html
This year it has a Pottery Barn inspired look filled with pine cones, birch candles, acorns and fall leaves.
It has also served as a centerpiece on my Thanksgiving table.
Last year, a long stemmed pumpkin plus other natural elements filled the bowl.
The first look I used was very simple, with pillar candles and baby boo pumpkins.
I love this combination of rustic and elegant.

Beautiful! I have ever been looking everywhere for birch Candles! May I ask where to get Them? Maybe I can put to rest a two year hunt. This site is awesome, so happy with it. Thank you 100 times. Sandy

Can you please, tell me the dimensions of your dough bowl? It appears to be about the size I could use. All the dough bowls I find are on-line, so I can't really visualize the size - width, how tall, how deep - from the pictures. Thanks for any info on that. :)

Thank you for sharing your Rustic and Elegant. I have always loved the combination and try to use it when I can. There is nothing more beautiful to me than silver and rustic wood accents! What could be more elegant than that? The best of two worlds!!

Oh my, this really stirs my imagination! I have several antique kitchen utensils (can opener, melon baller, pastry thingy) to use in my own arrangement. Oh yeah, the mind is churning.
