Turning Vintage Books Into Works of Art

Homeroad
by Homeroad
Here is an easy and inexpensive way to turn discarded books into works of art. Using matching frames you can group them into an eye catching gallery or use a single matted page for one large framed piece.
A book gives you 100's of pages to choose from.
Inexpensive matching frames create interest.
Framing a small page gives it a big presence.

I have framed fronts of birthday cards. Often there will be a pretty picure and no writing on the front. Looks nice and gives me a rememberance, without keeping cards that I like.

I have that book! It is line art from Dover Press. Why not just print enlargements in sepia tone? The Shumway seed catalog (Randolph WI) is loaded with beautiful illustrations from cover to cover. Open it and carefully remove the staples in the center, leaving it 13-1/2" x 20". Perfect placemats.
