Paillettes are a flat sequin with a single hole towards the outside edge. They come in every color of the rainbow, and then some. They're easy to make Christmas ornaments that can be customized to work with any Christmas decor. And they catch the light like magic.

Finished Paillette Ornament
I started with a Styrofoam ball. I added straight pins to the north & south of the ball, just to keep me on track. Then, using a Sharpie, I drew lines around the ball. This too, was to keep my rows on track.
Insert sequin pin in the hole of the pailette.
Dip the end of the sequin pin into some tacky glue
Start your first row around a straight pin.
Continue working rows around the Styrofoam ball, overlapping the paillettes to cover the pin heads. Once the ball has been covered with the paillettes, remove the bottom straight pin.
Using a corsage pin dipped in tacky glue, add a ribbon loop as a hanger. I used white sequins by the yard for my hanger.
And it's finished! They can be made in any color or size.
