My Grandmother Was Unattractive, So I Gave Her A Makeover!!

Your Grandmother doesn't have to be ugly anymore either! hehehe My friend gave me this vintage Tully Brook Grandmother clock. She thought it was ugly and didn't want it around. I just needed a little time to give her a proper Florida makeover!!
First I took out off the glass door and pulled out the clock. Then I sanded the entire piece, leaving random dark spots to show through the stain I was going to use.
I spray painted the inside of the shelves aqua blue then stained the rest gray.
After it dried, I used wall paper to line the back of the shelves. It looks like rustic/coastal weathered wood!
While the piece was drying, I painted the flowers on the clock face blue. They were a purple/mauve color. I took off the finial at the top an replaced it with a starfish, then trimmed it with rope. I used "patina blue" rub n buff on the knob.(The starfish was on the end of a curtain rod)!
To keep the coastal flow, I added a wood anchor on the bottom and trimmed with rope.
And that's all there was to it! Now my Grandmother is ready for coastal living!! Thanks for lookin' :)

I am the manufacturer of these clocks and I have to say that this is horrifying. I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

Hi Kathy, I'm sorry this offends you. My girlfriend was going to throw it out, so I decided to give it a fresh beach look, since I live at the beach, and this is what I do for a living. This sold long ago, to a very happy customer, in perfect working condition! I realize that not everyone appreciates my work. It would be a pretty boring world without imagination!
