DIY Desk Organizer For Your Office

I LOVE organizing. For me, having things clean and organized makes me more productive and creative. This upcoming year, we are going to tackle our guest bedroom and make it an office for me to use. Until we get started on that, I put together an easy DIY Desk Organizer with things I had picked up here and there.
How many of us have seen one of these old mail sorters? I decided to finally pick one up and turn it into something a little more appealing for the organizer.
We used wood slats from a broken shutter, stained them a dark color and adhered them to the front of the mail sorter.
I painted the rest of the mail sorter a soft gray. Then, I painted a scrap board black. I screwed the mail sorter to the black board.
I added tiny {afilink} galvanized buckets to the right side of the board with small hooks. These are great for holding small office supplies. I also nailed small labels to the outside of the mail sorter.
I added a copper clip to the top of the board.

This DIY Desk Organizer did not cost a lot of money because I used things I had already had on hand. You could find most of these supplies at your local thrift store, yard sales or Restore.
