I think the night stands go better with the second bed.

To be honest with you that should be your own decision .

Sometimes I have a hard time deciding and don't have the confidence to make a decision, if I I look at others ideas, I can figure out what I do and do not like.

    Bed # 1.

Please do not base your decision on others personal taste. To each is own and no one else.

Bed 1 for sure. That being said, everyone is also right that says follow your own taste. I have had "solid" advice on design dilemmas before and have followed my own taste where in the end, people have liked my choice better, not to mention it made me happy too! Good luck!

Tough choice. Both beds have details that brings out the color of the nightstand. Both will match well depending on the bedding you select.

Since you asked, I opt for bed #1 as well.

I think it would be helpful to see the table next to the beds because proportion is important.

Go with the bed you LOVE. Ask yourself and your partner if this is a shared bedroom, which bed makes you both feel happy, restful and seduces you. Then pick out your nightstands.

Ultimately your choice. Personally, I like bed #2, it looks a bit fancier.

I agree. I think a different nightstand though. The beds have angular lines that really don't go with the curvy unless one likes to mix styles. I would try to find a style either to match the nightstand or match the bed. Bed 2 has more interesting lines and detail in my opinion. I am not one to mix styles so that is your call. Best of luck! : )

Top is sleek and elegant could go with modern or other furniture. The bottom is very large and will dominate the room.
  • I like bed one only because I have enough to clean already and the dusting / swiffering on bed no. 2 would annoy me. But I have 3 dogs and take that into consideration.

In a strict decorating sense, no the night stand doesn't really go with either bed. However, I have a rosewood, art deco breakfront in the same dining room as a teak table and sideboard...a decorator's nightmare to be sure. But it's my house and about what my husband and I love. So mix and match furniture styles as you like. If someone is rude enought to make a negative comment just tell them your decorating rule book is what makes you happy.

Bed 2 has it's own design and competes with the design of the nightstand. Still, you should go with your own heart because you'll be the one living in there!

    Bed 2, hands down.

  • Teresa Teresa on Nov 25, 2016

I would go with bed #2, it has rounded corners and to me suits the roundness of the night tables bet plus it is a bit fancier and will not be totally upstaged by the beautiful night tables!

  • Elaine Elaine on Nov 26, 2016

Definitely #1. While styles no longer have to match, the style difference is more apparent in bed #2 while the first one would "go with" anything and you'll never tire of its classic lines. More important than this subject, though, is the height of bedside lamps. When choosing those, be sure to Google for guidelines so you don't buy too short a lamp like so many people do.

....and don't get one a little too high. That is a facial injury waiting to happen should you fall out of bed. The height is important.

What makes you happy? Go with what you find comfortable and soothing. It's no one else's business, otherwise!

    • Jart57 Jart57 on Nov 26, 2016

Bed #2 incorporates the curves and pulls the two styles together if you prefer a more cohesive look. Mismatched furniture is considered eclectic. Eventually all your different pieces create your own style which is unique to you and creates a very interesting look and feel. As if you hired a high end interior designer. Enjoy!

I can only see two beds and one nightstand. I like bed number one it looks light the other beds headboard doesn't feel beach like. I know you said coastal but I don't know which one if pacific than 1 for sure if Atlantic northeast the 2 would seems right but southeast needs been one. The night stand I can see is to heavy therefore it doesn't go with either. Now if you plan on painting to match bed then it could do the job because it wouldn't look as heavy but I wouldn't buy it I would only use if I had no choice. I wish I could have seen other night stand. Good luck.

I like bed #1 better with the nightstand.

  • Nadine Nadine on Dec 12, 2016

I like bed #2 with the nightstands because the headboard is higher. The nightstands are on the heavy side so a more substantial bed is required. If you decide to go with bed #1, then you need a simpler, straighter lines night stand so it doesn't overpower the bed.
