Vintage Frame Advent Calendar | Christmas Upcycle Project

I love making Christmas decorations from items I find at thrift stores, flea markets, and garage sales. Today I'm making an Advent calendar with a beautiful, chippy old frame.
See ALL my thrift store makeovers HERE.
Here are the supplies I used:
I chose not to paint the frame since it was already gold and perfectly chipped. I pulled out my number stamps and stamped 1-25 on my mini envelopes. I tied jute around the sides of the frame. You could also staple it if you want. I wasn't sure how permanent I wanted this to be so I tied it. But I like it so well that I think I'll go back and staple it, then use it all year long.
Then I simply clipped the mini envelops onto the jute with mini clothespins. These mini clothespins were already painted red, green, and white.

I printed out 25 Scriptures, cut them apart, and slipped one into each envelope. Now the kids can read one every day and we can think about the true meaning of Christmas.
The daily Scriptures are available for printing on my blog post. Scroll down to click through to the post.
How would you use this frame? Advent calendar? Christmas card display? or something else?
