Hand Painted Welcome Chair

There were a few comments about this chair in my "Funky Hand Painted Bench" post. It couldn't be seen clearly, so I thought I'd do a quick post for those who wanted to see it.
I started with an old chair that was going to be thrown out due to a hole in the top. Hubby fixed the hole and gave it a good sand for me.
Next I primed it and sprayed a nice ivory paint on it.
Then a started painting each section a different color.
Welcome added
I decided to make this a "Welcome" chair since I already had a different rug for the porch.
Painting is pretty much done. Just need some embellishments now!
After applying several thin coats of non-yellowing exterior clear coat, I added some stones and bling with gorilla glue.
All done!
It's not the strongest chair and it's very close to the steps (which makes me nervous) so I turned it into a Welcome Pot Holder Chair lol!

Cool you did a great job. I have one I painted bright yellow, cut a hole in the seat for my plant. Painted butterflies on the back. I'm going to glue some beads and stuff on the side like you did. thanks
