I seen a snowman on Hometalk last week and I said I can make that so I did .. I made 2 of them the big one first then the little one...
I had some wooden embroidery hoops on hand so I used those to make the body..
Next I glued those 2 hoops together with E6000 ...I love that glue . but I also wanted to make sure that they didn't fall apart so I took my drill and made me a small hole into both hoops and inserted a small screw before I did that I took my white material and put it in the hoops you can see where I trimmed it ....After I did that I took my Sparkle MOD PODGE and slathered those guys all over I wanted them to really sparkle like Snow does in the bright sunshine ...in the next picture you can see the sparkle ..
Then I added the black buttons and the googly eyes I think they look better than the buttons for eyes ....and I took my Orange Puffy Paint and made the carrot nose..
I had some foam board on hand so I traced out a hat and some boots he had to have those you know ...I used my E6000 to glue them on ....I also took a small piece of the orangy material and made a hat band for his hat and a patch too....I used the black material to cover the hat and boots with and then I cute a piece of the orange to make a scarf for him / them
This is part of my supplies that I used ,,..which I had on hand ...everything I used to make these cute guys I already had so it didn't cost me anything to make them
I cut out the black material and I used my Elmers Spray Bond glue on the boots and hat I had cut out then I placed my material over that and let it dry then I trimmed around the edges..
Then I took some Black Acrylic Paint and painted around the edges of the boots and hat ...
Now it was time to put him all together ....I put my E6000 on the back of my hat where I wanted it to be on the head and on the boots where I needed them to be also ...I had to lay something a little heavy on it to hold them down till they dried ....next I put the scarf around him and added a little black heart to the scarf and he was done ,,,,,,Oh before I forget I also drilled a little hole in the top so that I could insert a metal cup hanger so that he / they can be hung up
And here are the both of them hanging on my Hallway wall for now ...the big one is 29 inches from the top of his hat to the bottom of his boots the little one is 21 inches from the top of hat to the bottom of the boots ....Happy Looking little guys aren't they and I don't have to worry about them melting and making a mess on the floor ....
