Rustic Snowy Noel Sign

I have a spot on my entryway wall that needed a little Christmas cheer. I went through my stash of supplies and bought a few things from Hobby Lobby.
I really like having a package of chipboard letters on hand for these types of projects. I had thought to use glitter, but saw a bag of fake snow, and bought that instead.
I grabbed a scrap piece of cedar picket I had leftover from another project and nailed it to the wall. I always have a hard time throwing scrap pieces of wood away, and this is why.
I glued the snow to the letters, and glued them in place on the board. I decided it needed some extra detail.
I then glued some snowflakes in between the letters.
And here is the finished project. There are more details on my blog.

You could also add a ribbon to hang this up with, either on the wall or in place of a wreath on the front door. I think it would be lovely on the hearth or up on the mantle also.

There are many options to doing the letters, you could stencil them on, or use vinyl.

I love the rustic look of this. It fits in perfectly with my personal style.
