Zentangle

I had been seeing this Zentangle book at my local craft store. I assumed it was a gimmick but ended up flipping through the pages every time I went, which is often. Finally I had to take it home. I doodled off and on for 2 days. First try, I had to laugh at my attempt, it was painful to look at. Lol I'd put it aside for an hour
then try again and again. By day 2 this was my first freehand full page drawing. I am impressed with the book. I'm on page 30 out of 140 pages. I don't know about the whole "Zen" thing, but It does become relaxing. I've always liked this abstract and free sketching, now I might actually be able to do it!

I just took a class in Zentangle and it is not "doodling" very addictive

Someone recently spoke of this within my earshot. I didn't pay enough attention. After reading this, I will.
