DIY Farmhouse Christmas Decor From A Drop Cloth

I love using canvas drop cloths for projects and this year, I used a canvas drop cloth from Trimaco to make some beautiful Farmhouse Christmas Decorations!
I decided on three easy projects that wouldn't take me a ton of time, but would give me the look I was going for.

I started with a stocking garland. I cut a stocking shape from notebook paper and traced it on the drop cloth a few times.
Then, I used Trimaco's Blue Edge tape and a red permanent marker to make grain sack stripes on the stocking. The permanent marker worked great because it gave a faded look to the line which is exactly what I was going for.
I hung the stockings with care on red and white baker's twine with tiny red clothespins.
The next thing I made were stuffed grain sack heart ornaments. Another easy peasy project that looks great on the wreath above our mantel.
I rounded out the projects with small Christmas trees. They are too cute! I used a green permanent marker and some natural pieces I found in our back yard! Head over to the blog to check them out and to see more details on how I put all of these farmhouse decorations together. http://mycreativedays.porch.com/diy-farmhouse-christmas-decor/
