Pecans Anyone?

Our pecan trees did not produce as much pecans as other years. However, I was still happy, produced enough pecans for my banana breads I bake for the holidays. I will be busy baking in a few weeks.

I have a question about your pecans...we have 2 pecan trees in our yard and have been getting beautiful pecans for years but there is nothing in them. Do you have any idea what is wrong and what we might can do to start getting the pecans to have something in them besides dried up stuff? The squirrels don't even want them!!!

@Diane Hi. I talked to my husband and he said that we had the same problem as you. He went to a nursery and ask about it. He believes they suggested some kind of iron and fertilizer. (it's been years) After that they have been producing. Hope this helps you. Good Luck!

Lucky you. Given the price of pecans lately, your tree is definitely earning its keep!
