There is more than one way to relax with adult coloring books. See my bolg for the complete story...https://acitygirlscountrydreams.wordpress.com/2016/12/05/coloring-on-a-new-level/
SPOLIER: I like to see the finished product first. I needed a cabinet for my beauty supplies in my small small bathroom
purchased a bookshelf in the thrift store for $15
painted the inside tangerine and the outside pure white
put a hole in the top
dropped in a wireless cell phone charger. You just lay your phone centered on the plus sign to charge your phone without having to plug it in. NEAT RIGHT?
it pops up to reveal a USB charger port in case someone needs to charge a phone or electronic device that doesn't have wireless charging capabilities
marked out a design on my white door panels
stenciled a design
cut out paisleys from a coloring book and traced the outlines with a pencil on the doors
filled in the paisley with gold paint for the background then made a design with a black paint pen and metallic gold dimensional paint on top
glued on some acrylic jewels for bling bling
added dots with the dimensional paint
My phone charged perfectly
signed my piece and i am done...

Update: i got a lot of questions about how i made the doors. I reached my photo limit here so i put the info on my blog. Please check there. Thank you for visiting and all the positive support!!

I love your idea to solve the tiny bathroom problem. I too have a tiny bath and I'm excited to use your cabinet idea. My question is regarding the doors on the cabinet. I don't see the doors listed in your "material needed" and I'm wondering what you used? Thanks, Sue subee21@aol.com

Where did u get the doors?
  • Jana Jana on Dec 08, 2016
I was wondering about the doors, too. Did you get them pre-made or was that the purchase at Lowe's? You didn't mention getting or making them, so did you need the hardware for them as well?

I apologize but I am just seeing your comment. I have a couple of thoughts on your question. 1- if you did the outline could you put your own version of the design details on it and 2- The carbon idea would work as well after painting the background of course. I hope your project turns out well. Thank you so much for the encouragement.

Gee you mean I didn't have to free-hand all those paisleys on my end tables? Looks great, and I have a bunch of those coloring books... so I guess there is gonna be some new paisleys in my life!
