Drill through the center of the glass pieces
Run the cable through the holes and glue the pieces as you go.
Make sure you leave enough cable to make a loop at the top to hang the piece from.
Let dry overnight
Put a Ferrell at the bottom of the piece and crimp then make your loop and use a double ferrel and crimp.
Hang and enjoy
Enjoying his nectar
Suggested materials:
  • You need a drill press, glass drill bits, E6000 glue, cable and ferrel.

    When drilling, do you need to use tape to keep the glass from cracking or water?

    I’m going to be the old grouch here . . .I collect ‘old’ glass. It breaks my heart to see it misused in this manner. I have pieces that are over 140 years old and prefer it in its ‘natural’ form rather than a bastardization such as this. That’s just my opinion—if you like this stuff, more power to you.

    I HAVE MADE SEVERAL OF THESE USING GLASS PAINT ON THE INSIDE TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF FLOURIST VASES.
