Thanksgiving Decor (Using a Cast of Characters) Part Two

It's beginning to look a lot like . . . Thanksgiving! And rightly so, for the holiday will be here in ten days counting today. Therefore, I've enlisted the services of Madam Falling Leaf to assist Mr. Moon-In-The-Man in his role of emcee re characters that visit my succulent garden for various holidays, and ordinary time.

Madam Falling Leaf can be seen in the first image accompanying today's post on HT. She is to the immediate right of Humpty Dumpty and a solo shot of her can be found in image two.

And, in terms of her position in my succulent garden, she has suspended herself on the wall directly to the left of where Mr. Moon-In-The-Man usually stands, and where Humpty Dumpty can always be found.

(BTW, the copper colored material that can be seen to Madam Last Leaf's right is what I use to disguise the cords of the grow lights which hang over my succulent garden. I normally would not divulge such a secret but since this is HT, a venue where comrades share ideas, I am letting you know that it's a great way to hide a power cord.)

As I am sure you will concur, Mr. Moon-In-The-Man did a fine job hosting the cast of characters that visited me for Halloween as evident in a number of entries here on HT, (including one @ http://www.hometalk.com/diy/craft/holiday-crafts/follow-up-halloween-indoor-decor-the-b-group-wins-the-coin-toss-2423888).

But when Madam Falling Leaf approached me about a co-host gig, I couldn't resist; after all, yours truly is attempting to find a more steady writing gig, and the least I can do for Madam Falling Leaf is give her a job in showing solidarity to the under-employed!

Moreover, I call myself The Last Leaf Gardner, and it is most difficult for me to turn a leaf down when leaves have been such an inspiration to me.

(If you'd like to see how I came to call myself The Last Leaf Gardener, the info is @ http://www.thelastleafgardener.com/2010/01/americas-answer-to-guy-de-maupassant_08.html ).

Be that as it may, Mr. Moon-In-The-Man has a healthy ego and does not mind sharing the spotlight. He truly enjoys all the characters who visit my succulent garden and in image three he can be seen giving some much needed attention to Claudia and Claude, the crow couple who are currently visiting my us.

Claudia can be seen to the lower right of Mr. Moon-In-The-Man. And I've included a close-up of her (picture four) which you may recognize as she arrived before Claude, as she had flown into town to dispute the American idiom, "Eat Crow," which is something you might recall from a previous post here on HT, part one, of my Thanksgiving decor series (which can be found @ http://www.hometalk.com/diy/thanksgiving-decor-2506939).
In my event Claude (short for Lord Claude) insisted on modeling his coat and top hat as he went to great lengths re his "look," knowing he'd be in NYC. Images of him strutting his "stuff" are numbered five through eight.

Although Claude may seem flamboyant in his need to show off his threads, he is actually quite shy as evidenced by image nine of this entry which features him in my garden, trying to hide his eyes from behind a succulent!
AND, even though he has certainly earned his bragging rights, he's one humble crow, for while he is dressed to the nines, and carries a utensil, he never has said to "Fork it Over!"

This brings me to the conclusion of part two of Thanksgiving decor, and I will ask you, dear reader, to please join Humpty Dumpty, Madam Falling Leaf, Mr. Moon-In-The-Man, as well as Claudia and Claude crow tomorrow, when we welcome "traditional" Thanksgiving characters to my succulent garden!
