Inexpensive, Fast and Simple Christmas Decorating!
I love decorating for Christmas! Having said that it's a busy time of the year with parties, recitals, baking etc. so I try to keep my Christmas decorating simple, inexpensive and the least time consuming as possible!Here are some tips that will hopefully help you do the same!
This year, I decorated the chairs. Rather than decorating all chairs, the two chairs with backs visible in the room have bows. The red and white gingham ribbon was 50%off, the cedar branches and holly are from the my garden and the faux berries were also on sale for $1.00/bunch.

A plain wreath with a simple bow is fast, easy and elegant.
The centre piece was simple to make.
I found this river cup at Value Village. Using holly and floral sponge, I placed the holly all around the outside of the sponge.
I then placed limes, lemons and cranberries inside!
I love using citrus all year round.
Filling large hurricane votive candle holders is another idea. I filled them with cranberries, limes and oranges topped off with left over Christmas tree branches, cedar and the leaves (not sure what they are called) that came with bought roses. These leaves last forever!!!! In fact they have kept a nice green colour since Thanksgiving!!!
Decorate your light fixtures! After trimming the tree in the kitchen, I utilized the left over branches by placing them in the chandelier. Simple.
Ribbon and cedar branches can be used also.
Decorate the door knobs! This is so easy to do and adds a pretty little detail in any room!
I used cedar, holly and ribbon. I wired the branches together and then tightly wrapped the wire around the door knob.
Again, here is a plain wreath with a simple bow placed on the front door.
Small swags with bows add a cute touch.
To sum it up, by using ribbon, wire, plain wreaths, cedar, pine and holly along with a pinch of creativity, you can create Christmas decor that looks great inside and out simply and quickly without breaking the bank!
