Hometalk chalk paint workshop

Madison McGahan
by Madison McGahan
Sat. Dec. 10th, 6 Hometalkers in the Kent WA. area came together for a chalk paint workshop. We learned tips, techniques, and how to make our own chalk paint, wax, and glazes. Here are a few pictures of the group and our finished projects.
What a fun class, and so great to meet other Hometalkers in the area!

Great idea. I made my own chalk paint to save money. I had turquoise latex paint, so I just bought plaster of Paris & added water.

Hello Madison, I have just found your faux copper counter for the first time and fell in love! I always need to be as frugal as possible because I am disabled too and waiting for the disability people to finally accept me, lol. Governments, sheesh, we cannot do without them, but they make it as difficult as possible to deal with them. I am even happeir ddi finding that you are a DIY too working around your disability. Superb. Do you have a blog that we can follow or just

Hi, thank you! No blog. I post my projects on HomeTalk and Pinterest and my hubs makes video for his YouTube channel sometimes (Maxtanic films DIY) but that's about it. But I'm always available if you have a question about anything. It's great to know someone else isn't letting their disability stop their creativity!
