First, in order to make a cell phone case you will need a cell phone case. I chose to use all clear cell phone cases, I bought from Amazon for an iphone5/5s or an iphone6. For most of the cases, I use shipping labels in clear I bought from Staples.
Once I have all my tools, I searched pictures that I would like on a cell phone case. I like to design personal pictures on picmonkey.com but you can obviously just use a photo you find off the internet or personal photos of your friends or family. All the pictures I used will be her on my blog so you will be able to save them to your computer and print them out yourself. If you don’t have a great printer, then go to staples I think it $0.97 for one color print on a 8.5×11. Once you have something printed, line it up with your cellphone case, since I use clear cases I could just line it up and look thru it to see exactly where I wanted to cut the shipping label but if you decide to get a solid color case, no biggie. Its whatever you decide.
You will want to cut around the case so it will fit perfectly on the case. You can use scissors, if you prefer. I always like to use a X-acto knife, which you can find at any craft store, make sure the knife has a sharp blade. It will make your life easier.
When you have the picture cut out, you will just want to peel the backing of the shipping label off. Then shipping label becomes a large sticker. and you will want to place it on the outside of the case. Once the label is stuck on to the case, then grab your X-acto knife again, so you can cut out the hole for your camera to peek through.
To ensure the label stays in place and the ink on the label doesn’t bleed from any moisture, moisture even from you hands. The Mod podge will add a gloss. It will make the case look finished, also will make the shipping label, seem more clear.
You will want to paint a top coat of Mod Podge to finish it off. Let it dry for the recommended time and once you are finished you have a one of a kind cell phone case!
Finished! You can do this for any size phone or any kind of phone. You just need a clear phone case.
I posted all the graphics on my blog, if you want to save the image and print it out on your own printer.
