Today’s “Minion Monday” will get the kids outdoors a little while also adding some sentimental fun to your Christmas tree. I am always a sucker for bringing the outdoors inside so any chance I get to be a little squirrel collecting for home decor- I take it!! This little mini tree ornament is SO cute and SO easy and will be the perfect gift or addition to your Christmas decor. You can have fun with all sorts of ribbon colors, prints and shapes to make each tree unique and special. Start by going for a little nature walk and collecting some sticks for your tree trunks…I’m sure the little ones’s will love this task!
Cut your sticks to the desired size for the tree ornament (I suggest 3 to 4 inches or so) and then start to tie the ribbon on the stick in varying colors and prints…give it a little haircut to trim the “tree” shape so that the shorter ribbons are at the top and the longer ribbons are at the base of the stick to create a triangle shape.
So that we didn’t see the string at the top, we hot glued the ribbon to create a loop behind the front of the tree- but you could create a loop with a simple knot if you prefer to keep the hot glue away from the little ones!
Too cute! Mini trees on our our mini tree!
Merry decorating!! xo Sam
