Quick and Useful Snowball Soap Gift

True to style, we're pulling double duty with this cold and flu season necessity! Every one needs soap. And what could be better to get those little ones washing than the fun of a surprise inside?
Start with a cup of shredded Ivory soap, a few tablespoons of water, and a waterproof trinket. (One bar of soap shred to about 1+1/8 cup, so just use the full bar if only making one, but a ten pack will yield 11-12 balls).
Bouncy balls, rings or anything else solid work very well, but I wanted bracelets. Just make sure whatever you use isn't going to be pushing out trying to expand to original form and is water proof.
I just used rubber bands to secure the bracelets in a tight "ball".
Sorry, no really good picture exists.
You may need more than a few tablespoons of water, but it really doesn't take much. Just add a drizzle at a time. Toss the soap to coat it in water, squeezing and tossing around until you can pack it like a snowball.

Pack the damp soap around your trinket, so that it's hidden in the middle.

Pack it tight. Again...Just like a snowball!
Let them sit out for awhile if you have time before packaging so they can dry up a bit, then slide them in sandwich bags, add some ribbon and share!
I had made some snowman pins (just wooden discs from the craft store spray painted off white with snowman faces painted on them), and decided to pin them on the bags just to give them (a.k.a. get them off my counter). I'm so happy I did! I couldn't have been happier with the result!

I think I will make some small single use snowballs for my grandgirlies! I will add a drop or two of peppermint essential oil and of vanilla extract to them...they will love them! Be very careful with EO ‘s though. Don’t use them for kids under two and always use responsibly because they are such a strong concentration. Thanks for the idea!
