Fabric Flowers

Using Satin fabric, or any non natural fibers. you can create beautiful fabric flowers too!
take your fabric and cut circles out, You can measure at this point, but I didn't I just free handed them. After they are cut, you'll want to cut slits in them. No certain amount of slits, just how many "petals" you want.
take each section and fold in and hang over the tea light, NOT IN IT. OVER IT. you want to melt the fabric, not burn it. after you take each one you want to turn them inward. see picture. so the petals are bouncing upward. I dont have a picture for this next step but run the whole thing across the flame. (heat) so it all starts to crinkle together, and gets a little more firm. dont worry if you put a hole in it, I have and just covered it up with the next petal. after this, put each layer on with a dot of hot glue in the middle and press down. keep doing it till your flower gets full. Hot glue a gem of your choice to the middle. and your done!
Aren't they beautiful?!?! This fabric was even on sell for $1.97 a yard! I have lots of fabric left for more flowers!
all the little "petals" all loose before the hot glue and layering!

took this picture to show you can make them as full as you want :)
I turned them into hair clips for my daughter and for her to give to her friend at school for a gift for Christmas
here's a look from above, Hot glued a "pearl" in the middle.
