Pickle Jar Becomes Cookie Jar

I turned 6 gallon pickle jars into reusable cookie jars.
My husband went on a pickle eating binge, leaving me with a dozen empty jars;
After washing them, I painted them various colors.
I used 2 coats of inexpensive acrylic paint, purchased at Walmart.
After the paint dried I added a clear coat.
I painted each jar with a different theme, matching them to my daughters kitchens.
After the paint was dry, I applied another clear coat.
Finally, I filled them with homemade cookies and gave them for Christmas gifts.
Suggested materials:
  • Apple Barrel acrylic paint   (Walmart)
  • Rustoleum Acrylic Clear coat   (Walmart)
  • Empty glass jars   (Local Grocery store)
