We put together these quick wall sconces to hold battery powered candles.

This DIY uses simple materials including an old frame and a circle piece of wood.

Mark where to trim the wood piece, cut with saw (we used a miter saw). This step is to provide a flat area for the half circle to be glued.

Glue this wood piece in place with RapidFuse glue.

Cut the circle in half. You could use a hand saw or a Dremel SawMax.

Glue and clamp into place. You could also add a few nails thought the top for extra support.

Spray paint and let dry. Add a picture hanger if your frame did not have one.

Because we had all the supplies on hand that we needed, this was a quick project to complete. These are a modern take on traditional wall scones but utilizing battery operated/remote controlled candles!

I have had trouble finding the perfect headboard for my bedroom, but I think I just found it! I love this idea and am going to make various sized wall sconces to hold various sized candles and place them in place of a traditional headboard. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration. I can’t wait to get started.
